"With this second edition, professor Suhail Ahmad … offers an update of the ‘Seattle experience’ and of the field of dialysis. … the glossy paper and 50 color illustrations make it a very pleasant read. … The manual is intended as a brief overview of dialysis and its complications as well as of some of the complications of chronic kidney disease … . The manual is probably intended for newcomers to dialysis, including nurses, technicians, residents, and specialists other than nephrologists." (Mony Fraer, Doody’s Review Service, July, 2009)
“This book is an excellent addition to the dialysis library. It is a practical guide to dialysis in all its forms, including complications. … Every chapter has good references and the index is comprehensive. … I would highly recommend it as an addition to the library in every renal unit. It gives the novice practitioner a wide base of helpful information on the different methods of treatments and is an excellent reference book for the more experienced health care worker.” (Cordelia Ashwanden, Journal of Renal Care, Vol. 36 (1), February, 2010)
